Claude Training Australia 2026: Formats, Price & Truth

Satori has trained over a thousand people to use Claude. This guide shows exactly what Claude training in Australia looks like with us: what's included, what you learn, how long it runs, and what it costs. No frameworks, no abstractions. Just what actually happens in the room.

One thing worth saying first. The teaching method is much the same whether a team works with Claude, ChatGPT or another tool. What we cover here is what Claude training specifically involves, format by format, plus the honest answer to the question everyone eventually asks: is there a certificate at the end?

    What is Claude training?

Claude training is a hands-on workshop where a team learns to use Anthropic's Claude in their daily work. It's not lectures, not demos, not slides on a projector. It's a couple of hours (or four, or eight, or five sittings) where you work with your real documents and solve your real problems.

The mental model we teach is simple. Claude is like a very capable intern. Fast, competent, helpful, but you're responsible for the result. That model unlocks everything else. Once a team understands it, prompt technique falls into place. When it doesn't sit right, people fumble for six months.

And the training isn't just technique. It's habits. We spend a lot of time on how you get Claude to become a natural part of the working day, rather than a tool that gets opened once a week and then forgotten.

There's a good backdrop for this in Australia right now. Anthropic opened a Sydney office in 2026, Australia is among the highest per-capita users of Claude in the world, and there's a memorandum of understanding between Anthropic and the Australian government. The tool is here properly. The skills need to catch up.

What does a Claude training session include?

It depends on the format, but the core is the same four blocks.

Block 1: The foundation. What Claude is, how it differs from other AI tools, and the mental model (the intern metaphor). Your first prompts. What works and what doesn't.

Block 2: Prompt technique and context. How to write prompts that actually work. How Claude reads context. Why your own documents are ten times more valuable than hypothetical examples. How to stop Claude from making things up.

Block 3: Claude's specific features. Projects with fixed instructions that give Claude your company context. Artifacts for documents, code and presentations. Deep Research for going deeper than an ordinary chat. Extended Thinking for complex reasoning. This is what separates Claude from a generic chatbot.

Block 4: Your use cases. We build two or three concrete use cases from the team's day-to-day. Not made-up examples. Your real documents, your real tasks. This is where the training sits or falls. People who've built something concrete on the day carry it into the next.

On the full-day format, each role also gets its own track in the afternoon. More on that below.

    What do you actually learn?

After Claude training, a team should be able to do four things.

One: write prompts that work first time. Not guess, not test five variants. Know how to frame a task so Claude delivers something useful straight away.

Two: set up your own Projects. A Project is a framework of fixed instructions Claude follows every time. Marketing gets a Project for content, finance for reports, HR for policies. We set up at least one together.

Three: use Claude's advanced features. Deep Research when you need a deeper answer. Extended Thinking when it's complex. Artifacts when you want a document or code to work on. Not just the chat.

Four: know what never to type in. Privacy and AI policy aren't separate from Claude use; they're the same thing. In Australia that means the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, plus the automated-decision-making transparency obligation that commences on 10 December 2026.1 We cover it practically.

Four concrete skills that measure themselves in hours saved per week.

How long is Claude training, and which format fits?

Four standard formats. Same teaching method, different pace.

    Claude two-hour session

Two hours to get a team moving fast. The lightest way in, good for a group that just needs the foundation and a push. A$490 per person.

    Claude half day

Four hours where a team gets going properly, split into four one-hour blocks. The most popular format. Works both in person and online. A$680 per person, minimum eight.

Claude full day with role tracks

The whole day, mixed roles. The morning is a shared foundation. In the afternoon we split: marketing builds Claude Projects for content and campaigns, finance trains on reporting and analysis, HR works on policies and recruitment, leadership focuses on decision support and document analysis. A$990 per person, minimum eight.

    Claude sprint

Five one-hour sittings over a few weeks, for three to eight people in the same team. Between sittings you get homework on real work and we follow up next time. It builds the habit over time rather than in one hit. A$700 per person.

Want to go broader than a single course? satori-launch is the wider package with skills rolled out per user at A$990 per user (minimum eight).

What does Claude training cost in Australia?

Here's the 2026 landscape, so you can see where Satori sits.

    OptionPriceFormat
    Anthropic SkilljarFreeOnline self-paced
    Satori two-hourA$490/person2h
    Satori half dayA$680/person (min 8)4h
Satori full dayA$990/person (min 8)8h with role tracks

The price is already per person, whatever the team size. The final figure depends on the number of participants, online or on site, whether you want role-specific tracks and whether you want follow-up. More detail on the packages is on our Claude training page, and the broader rollout economics are in our Claude for business guide.

Is there a Claude certification, and does Satori offer it?

Here's the honest answer, because this is where a lot of providers get slippery.

There is a real Claude certification. It's the Claude Certification Program, delivered through Pearson VUE, and it's gated behind Anthropic's partner structure, the Claude Partner Network. That's the genuine article.2

What Satori is not: an accredited partner, a certified partner, or the issuer of any official Claude certificate. We're a training provider. If someone sells you a "Claude certified" badge off the back of a half-day workshop, be sceptical.

What you get from us instead is capability. A team that opens Claude on Monday and gets real work done, measured in hours saved, not a certificate in a drawer. For most Australian businesses, that's the thing that actually matters. The badge is nice; the habit pays the bills.

    Who needs Claude training?

Put it to the test. Ask three people on your team to describe what they use Claude for. If the answers are "I haven't tried it", "I use it like ChatGPT" or "I've written a few prompts", the training gap is real.

That's no criticism. It's how it looks in most companies in 2026. Three signals you need training:

    • The licence sits idle. You've bought Claude licences but the usage data shows barely a flicker.
    • Five people solve the same task five different ways. Nobody has learned a shared method, so the results are all over the place.
    • Nobody dares try the hard stuff. People use Claude for simple emails but not reports, analysis or projects. They don't know it can.

If any of that rings true, training pays off. The only question is which format and level fits.

Is Claude training worth the money?

For teams of five or more, almost always.

A quick sum: ten people, two hours saved a week, fifty weeks, at A$90 an hour internal cost, is A$90,000 a year. Against a half day at A$6,800 (ten people at A$680) that's a return you notice. It's not unusual.

For solo users and teams under three people, Anthropic's free Skilljar courses plus a few hours of your own experimenting is often enough. It's more honest to say that than to sell a full day to two people.

How do you book Claude training?

Book a first call of twenty minutes and we'll help you pick a format. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

After the call we send a tailored quote with concrete content, dates and price. No off-the-shelf package, but a course shaped around your team, your roles and your real work. And if you want Claude run as a managed platform for the whole organisation afterwards, that's what satori-claude is for, at A$850 setup plus A$15 per user per month on top of the licences.
