Privacy & Cookie Policy

This page explains what personal information we handle when you use satoriml.com, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect very little, we do not track you across the web, and we tell you plainly where your data goes.

    Who we are

This website is operated by Satori ML, a company based in Sweden, providing AI consulting services to Australian clients through satoriml.com. Because we are based in Sweden, personal information collected through this site may be processed in Sweden or elsewhere in the European Union.

    Which privacy laws apply?

For visitors in Australia, we treat the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as our reference for how your personal information should be handled. As a Swedish company, we are also subject to the EU GDPR, so your data gets the protection of both frameworks rather than falling between them.

    What we collect

Very little, honestly. Here is the full list:

    • Technical server logs: the site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve and secure the site.
    • Aggregated visit statistics via Vercel Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookie-free, and with no cross-site tracking. We see page views and general trends, not identifiable individuals.
    • Your cookie consent choice: stored in your browser so we do not ask you again on every visit.
    • Booking details: if you book a meeting with us, the name, email address and meeting details you enter (see below).

    What we do not do

    • No user accounts and no login.
    • No newsletter and no email marketing lists.
    • No contact forms; contact happens through our booking calendar.
    • No Google Analytics and no advertising trackers. If we add analytics tools in the future, they will only run with your consent.
    • The site chat assistant is currently disabled.

    Booking a meeting

Meetings are booked through a Microsoft Outlook "Book with me" page. The information you enter there (your name, email address and meeting details) is processed by Microsoft on our behalf, within our Microsoft 365 tenancy hosted in the EU. We use it to hold the meeting and follow up with you, nothing else.

    Overseas disclosure (APP 8)

Plainly: visitor data from this site is minimal, and booking data is processed via Microsoft 365 in the EU. So if you are in Australia, your personal information is disclosed overseas, to Sweden and the EU, where it is protected under European privacy law. We do not sell or share it with anyone else.

    Cookies and the consent banner

When you first visit, a small banner asks about cookies. Your choice is saved in a first-party cookie called "cookie-consent" (kept for up to 12 months) together with a random identifier in your browser's localStorage, so we can remember and evidence your choice. That is essentially it: Vercel Analytics works without cookies, so declining optional cookies does not break anything. The analytics and marketing categories in the banner only take effect if we ever add tools in those categories. You can also clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.

    Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Under the APPs you also have the right to complain, first to us and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you are not satisfied. The easiest way to reach us is to book a time through the booking calendar on our contact page, and we will sort it out.

    Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes (for example, if we add analytics or re-enable the chat assistant), we will update this page to match before or when the change goes live.
