How much does a Claude rollout cost in Australia?

How much does a Claude rollout cost is the first question most Australian businesses ask, right before someone tells them the real number depends on a conversation. Two businesses can ask for the same Claude rollout and land on very different invoices, because one bills by the hour and the other fixes the whole project at one price. We publish ours on this page, in AUD, before you have spoken to anyone.
The numbers below line up the market rate against our own published prices for a Claude rollout, from the first workshop through a full year of managed licences. Real dollar figures, not ranges pulled from a sales call.
Type "claude implementation cost" into Google and most of what comes back is generic AI-agency pricing, not Claude specifically, which is exactly the gap this page closes.
How much does a Claude rollout cost in Australia?
A Claude rollout for an Australian business typically costs somewhere between A$8,000 and A$85,000 in the first year, depending on team size, and almost the entire spread comes down to headcount rather than complexity. At the low end, a small team of eight people gets a full launch, licences and a year of management for around A$14,000 all in. Fifty people land closer to A$85,000 for the same package, scaled up from the same rates.
The spread sits inside, not above, what the open market already charges for a Claude rollout project on its own1, before a single licence is even added. A market quote usually covers the build alone. Our number covers the build, the licences and a full year of running the platform, on one invoice.
What actually goes into a Claude rollout?
A Claude rollout is not just buying licences and hoping people use them. It has three layers: getting the whole team onto Claude with real training, taking over the ongoing licence and support administration, and building custom connections into internal systems. Not every business needs the third layer straight away.
satori-launch: the one-time layer
The first layer is what satori-launch covers: a webinar for the whole company, a full-day hands-on workshop with real documents, and up to five ready-made skills rolled out across the team. It costs A$990 per person, once, from a minimum of eight people, or A$7,920 at that minimum.
satori-claude: the monthly layer
The second layer is satori-claude, the managed platform that takes over licences, support and administration once the launch is done. It costs A$850 to set up, then A$15 per person per month, plus a Claude licence at A$42 for Standard or A$195 for Premium. One invoice, every month.
Skip straight to custom connections without those first two layers in place, and the expensive part usually is not the software. It is the six months of quiet, low adoption that follows, while people quietly go back to pasting text into whatever AI tool they already had open. Nobody ever showed them the shortcut.
What drives the price up or down?
Three things move the number more than anything else. Team size is the biggest lever, since almost every cost in a Claude rollout scales per person rather than per project. The support tier chosen after launch, Standard or Premium, adds A$55 or A$140 per user each month on top of the platform cost. Whether the business already holds Claude licences matters too, since folding existing seats into a managed setup costs less than starting fresh.
One thing that barely moves the price is which industry a business is in. A logistics firm and a law firm pay the same per-user rate for the same rollout, because the workshop adapts to documents on the day, not to a price list per sector. Same rollout, same rate, every time.
The market anchor: A$599 an hour, or a project fee
Look at how Australian AI consultancies price a Claude rollout and two models turn up again and again. XLev, one of the more transparent operators here, publishes both figures directly: operator advisory at A$599 an hour, and a full Claude rollout typically running A$25,000 to A$80,000 as a scoped project1. Two clean numbers, both published. The wider spread across the market, day rates and freelance floors included, sits in our guide to AI consultant rates in Australia.
Run the hourly rate against our own numbers and the gap shows up fast. At A$599 an hour, less than fourteen hours of advisory time costs as much as our entire eight-person launch, webinar, full-day workshop, five skills and all. For a twenty-person team, the same hourly rate crosses our A$19,800 launch price at just over thirty-three hours.
The project-fee model has a different catch. A$25,000 to A$80,000 is typically one fee for one build, whether the team is eight people or eighty, because the quote covers scope rather than headcount, and that fee usually buys the build alone. The Claude licences still show up separately, a US-dollar invoice straight from Anthropic every month, the same invoice satori-claude folds into one AUD bill2.
satori.'s fixed prices: the worked example
Numbers on both sides go into the table below, market rate against fixed price, compared line for line.
| Cost driver | Typical Australian market | satori. |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery and scoping | Free call, real number comes later | Published on this page, no call needed |
| Advisory and consulting | Up to A$599 an hour1 | Included in the fixed launch price |
| Full rollout project | A$25,000 to A$80,000, one fee regardless of headcount1 | A$990 per user, from A$7,920 for eight people |
| Claude licences | Separate invoice, direct from Anthropic | Folded into one AUD invoice |
| Ongoing management | Rare, or a new hourly retainer | A$850 setup, then A$15 per user per month |
Three real team sizes turn that into concrete numbers, using satori-launch plus a year of satori-claude on the Standard licence.
| Team size | One-time (launch and setup) | Monthly (management and licence) | Year one, all in |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 (the minimum) | A$8,770 | A$456 | A$14,242 |
| 20 | A$20,650 | A$1,140 | A$34,330 |
| 50 | A$50,350 | A$2,850 | A$84,550 |
Heavy Claude Code users can swap the Standard licence for Premium at A$195 per user, which changes the monthly line but nothing else in the structure. Every figure in both tables sits on our services page today, not behind a form.
Is a fixed price actually cheaper than hourly consulting?
For most teams, yes, and the maths above shows why. Once a rollout needs more than a handful of hours, a fixed per-user price stops the bill from growing every time a question takes longer than expected to answer. Predictable pricing simply beats cheap pricing, most months of the year.
Fixed pricing does not suit everyone, though. satori-launch has an eight-person minimum, so a business with four or five people pays for seats it does not have if it books the full package. For a team that size, a handful of hours from an hourly consultant can genuinely cost less than our minimum, and that is worth saying.
Above eight people, the maths tips the other way fast, because the market's advisory rate has no ceiling and our per-user price does.
The bottom line
A Claude rollout costs roughly A$14,000 to A$85,000 in the first year through satori., depending entirely on team size. The open market charges up to A$599 an hour, or A$25,000 to A$80,000 for the build alone, with licences billed separately on top1. Headcount moves the number, not how the conversation goes.
Two related guides go deeper from here: our guide to every Claude plan in AUD breaks down Anthropic's price list, while the 30-day rollout plan covers what happens after the invoice lands.
Open our services page and compare the fixed A$990 launch price, per person, against the last hourly quote your business was given. Multiply A$990 by your own headcount, add A$850 plus A$15 and A$42 per person each month, and you have a real year-one number in about five minutes. Nobody else needs to be in the room.
