Claude Team pricing 2026: seats, VAT and totals

Company use of Claude usually starts on one Pro account paid with one person's card, and within a few months five colleagues pay separately while nobody can see who uses what. Claude Team pricing is the answer to that moment: $20 per user per month on annual billing, about €18, for a Standard seat, with two seats as the minimum.1
Every figure below is Anthropic's list price in US dollars before tax, with a rough euro figure at the European Central Bank rate of 25 September 2026, when one euro bought 1.1403 dollars.2
What is the Claude Team plan?
The Claude Team plan is Anthropic's plan for 2 to 150 people at one company, with the same models as Pro plus central billing and an admin console for whoever hands out seats.13 Above 150 seats the next step is Enterprise, which adds audit logs and invoicing with payment terms, and our guide to Claude for business sets Team and Enterprise side by side. A qualifying nonprofit pays $8 per user per month for a Team seat, about €7, which our post on Claude for nonprofits in Europe covers with the eligibility check.4
Claude Team pricing in 2026, seat by seat
Anthropic sells two kinds of Team seat, Standard for most staff and Premium for heavy users, and both come with an annual and a monthly price.1
| Seat | Annual billing, per user per month | Monthly billing, per user per month |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $20, about €18 | $25, about €22 |
| Premium | $100, about €88 | $125, about €110 |
Premium seats carry five times the usage of a Standard seat and include the Fable models, while a Standard seat pays for Fable with pay-as-you-go usage credits.15 Both seat types live in one workspace, so a team gives Premium to its two heaviest users and Standard to everyone else.3
Free, Pro, Max and Enterprise each get a line in our full guide to how much Claude costs, while this page stays with the Team seat.
Claude Team annual or monthly billing
Pick annual billing when you expect to keep the seats for ten months or more, since twelve months at $20 come to $240 while ten months at $25 already cost $250. Annual billing costs 20 per cent less than monthly on both seat types, because $20 against $25 and $100 against $125 is the same ratio.1
The catch is how seat changes bill: an added seat is prorated and charged at once, while a seat you cut leaves the bill only at the next renewal.6 On an annual plan that renewal can be twelve months away, so a team with seasonal staff should weigh the extra $5 per Standard seat that monthly billing costs. Removing a member gives no credit or refund either and only frees the seat for the next hire.6
What do you get for the money?
A Standard seat gives each person 1.25 times the usage of a Pro account per session and a Premium seat 6.25 times, with weekly limits per person that colleagues cannot pool.3 Every seat also includes Claude Code, meaning Anthropic's coding tool that reads and edits a code base, so developers need no separate subscription.3
Claude Team admin console
The admin console is where one person adds and removes members, sets spend limits per organisation or per user, and decides which connectors, meaning links to Google Drive or Slack, staff may use.13 One job still falls to a person, because a seat nobody opens costs exactly as much as one used all day, so someone reads the member list once a month.
Single sign-on, meaning staff log in with their existing company account, comes with the plan, and anyone who signs up with a company email address lands in your workspace instead of a private account.3
When should you move from Pro to Team?
- Two or more daily users: five Pro accounts on annual billing cost $1,000 a year and five Team Standard seats $1,200, so the step costs $40 per person a year, about €35.1
- Shared documents: a shared Project, meaning a workspace where colleagues keep the files Claude reads first, holds the contract or tender once, so five people stop uploading the same 200-page file.3
- Someone wants oversight: a finance lead or IT manager gets a member list and spend limits on Team, while five Pro accounts on five cards show nothing to anyone.
If none of the three applies, keep Pro, because a solo user gains nothing from an admin console with one name in it.
Claude Team upgrade from a Pro account
The switch starts at claude.ai/upgrade, and by default it turns your existing account into the Team workspace in place, unless you tick the box that keeps your personal account separate.7 Chats, Projects, uploaded files and Claude's memory move across, while custom skills, connector sign-ins and public share links stay behind, and the move cannot be undone.8
Copy every custom skill to a file before you click, since there is no migration path for skills and someone rebuilds each one by hand afterwards.8 A Pro plan bought directly from Anthropic is cancelled with a prorated refund for the unused time.8
Worked examples: Claude Team for 5, 12 and 25 people
The three examples below are our own arithmetic on Anthropic's list prices, before VAT, with every euro figure converted from the dollar total at 1.1403.12 Monthly amounts are rounded to the whole euro and yearly ones to the nearest ten, so five Standard seats show €88, not €90.
Claude Team for 5 people, all Standard
| Five Standard seats | Annual billing | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Per month | $100, about €88 | $125, about €110 |
| Per year | $1,200, about €1,050 | $1,500, about €1,320 |
A five-person consultancy where everyone writes reports and proposals needs no Premium seat, and annual billing saves $300 a year, about €260, against paying month by month. The saving holds only while all five seats stay in use, since a seat freed by a leaver stays on the bill until the renewal date.
Claude Team for 12 people, two on Premium
| 10 Standard and 2 Premium seats | Annual billing | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Per month | $400, about €351 | $500, about €438 |
| Per year | $4,800, about €4,210 | $6,000, about €5,260 |
A twelve-person agency puts its two developers on Premium and the other ten on Standard, which costs $2,400 a year for each group on annual billing. Twelve Premium seats would cost $14,400 a year, about €12,630, so the mix keeps the heavy users fed for a third of that price.
The split is a guess at first, and moving a user up to Premium is prorated and charged at once while moving one down waits for the renewal.6
Claude Team for 25 people, three on Premium
| 22 Standard and 3 Premium seats | Annual billing | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Per month | $740, about €649 | $925, about €811 |
| Per year | $8,880, about €7,790 | $11,100, about €9,730 |
A 25-person firm with three heavy users pays $2,220 a year more on monthly billing, about €1,950, and still only gains the right to cut seats every month instead of once a year.
The trap of buying Claude Team direct as a European company
Anthropic lists Team in US dollars and takes only credit, debit or prepaid cards, so a dollar charge gets converted by your bank at its own rate on the day.19 A finance team that budgets in euros sees a new number on every statement, and an annual plan lands the full year on one day at one rate.10
VAT follows the billing address on the account, and a VAT-registered business adds its VAT ID under Settings then Billing, with the Update button next to the payment method.11 Timing is the trap, because the change applies to future billing cycles only and Anthropic states that completed invoices cannot be updated.11
On an annual plan the first invoice covers twelve months, so a VAT ID added one day late leaves a full year of tax on a document nobody can correct.11 With the ID in place the reverse charge usually applies, meaning your business accounts for the VAT in its own return and can deduct it there too.12
Invoicing with payment terms, audit logs and automatic account removal all sit on Enterprise, which starts at 20 seats, so a finance team that needs a purchase order hits a wall on Team.1 Our step-by-step guide to buying Claude licences compares the card, Enterprise and a managed euro invoice side by side.
Data is the last line on the checklist, since Anthropic stores data from its commercial plans in the US and Team has no setting that keeps processing in the EU.1314 What Anthropic does with your team's chats gets its own answer in our guide to Claude Enterprise security.
How satori. handles Claude Team for you
satori-claude gives your team the same Claude seats it would buy from Anthropic, bought and run by us, on one invoice in euros instead of a dollar charge on a card.
| satori-claude, excl. VAT | Price |
|---|---|
| Setup, one-time | €490 |
| Claude licence Standard | €22 per user per month |
| Claude licence Premium | €110 per user per month |
| Our fee: admin, support, quarterly report | €14 per user per month |
Our licence price follows Anthropic's monthly list price, $25 and $125, converted at the same 1.1403 rate, so the euro amount on the invoice stays fixed while the dollar moves. Every quarter brings a usage report with three concrete next steps, and questions go to us by email.
For the twelve-person team above, ten Standard and two Premium seats cost €440 a month in licences plus €168 in fees, so €608 a month and €7,786 in year one with the setup. That is more than the €4,210 the same team pays Anthropic on annual billing, and the gap buys the euro invoice, the admin work and a person to email.
All satori. prices are fixed and exclude VAT, and the all-in figures for other team sizes sit on our Claude pricing page for Europe. EU business customers with a valid VAT number are invoiced without Swedish VAT under the reverse charge. Customers in Sweden pay Swedish VAT.
Book a free 30-minute call with your headcount and the number of heavy users, and you leave with the monthly total for both routes, direct and managed.
The short version
Claude Team costs $20 per Standard seat a month on annual billing and $25 on monthly, about €18 or €22, with Premium at $100 or $125 and a minimum of two seats.
Count the people in your company who used Claude for work last week, mark the two or three who hit a limit, and price them as Premium and the rest as Standard. Within fifteen minutes you have a monthly total in dollars, and dividing it by 1.1403 gives the euro figure your finance lead will ask for first.

Frequently asked questions
Claude Team is Anthropic's plan for 2 to 150 people at one company, with the same models as Pro plus central billing, single sign-on and an admin console. A Standard seat costs $20 per user per month on annual billing or $25 monthly, about €18 or €22, and Premium seats cost $100 or $125.
Annual billing cuts the price by 20 per cent on both seat types, to $20 instead of $25 for a Standard seat and $100 instead of $125 for Premium. Seats you cut only leave the bill at the yearly renewal, so annual pays off when a seat stays in use for ten months or more.
For two or more people who use Claude daily it usually is, since five Team Standard seats on annual billing cost $1,200 a year against $1,000 for five annual Pro accounts. That $40 per person a year, about €35, buys central billing, single sign-on, shared Projects and 1.25 times the usage per session.
Not on Team, since Team is paid by credit, debit or prepaid card and invoicing with payment terms sits on Enterprise through Anthropic's sales team. satori-claude buys the seats for you and sends one euro invoice, at €22 or €110 per user per month plus a €14 fee.
Removing a member ends their access but gives no credit or refund, because the seat stays paid and can go to the next hire. The seat count itself only drops at the next renewal, which on an annual plan can be up to twelve months away.
An owner opens Settings then Billing in the Claude account, clicks the Update button next to the payment method and enters the company VAT ID there. The change applies to future billing cycles only and completed invoices cannot be corrected, so add the ID before the first charge runs.
