ChatGPT training for businesses: formats and price

Most offices already have ChatGPT, just not in the way the IT lead thinks, since the account sits on someone's private phone and the prompts are the same as in the first week. Eurostat counted 20 per cent of EU enterprises with ten or more employees using AI in 2025, which leaves four in five European companies without AI in their daily work at all.1 ChatGPT training closes that gap when it runs on the team's own work instead of on slides.
We build most things on Claude from Anthropic, and we also run workshops in ChatGPT for teams that already have the OpenAI agreement in place. This guide covers what training costs with us, which formats change how people work and what a team can do after two hours.
What is ChatGPT training for a business?
ChatGPT training for a business is a guided session where the team solves its own tasks in the tool with a trainer beside them, instead of watching slides. The company version differs from a private course because the group shares the same tasks, the agreement belongs to the company and someone owns the question of which data may be typed in.
Course content in 2026 differs from 2024, when prompt technique was enough, meaning the skill of describing a task so the model understands it. OpenAI now ships ChatGPT Work, an agent that takes a goal and hands back finished sheets, slides and documents, and connects to tools such as Slack, Teams, Google Drive and SharePoint.2 Training that stops at the chat box teaches the 2024 tool.
ChatGPT Work in the training
The biggest change in the course is that participants learn to hand over tasks instead of asking questions. A controller asks the agent to read twelve supplier invoices and build a reconciliation tab, and learns in the same exercise where the usage ceiling of a seat sits. The controller still reads the result line by line before it goes to the auditor, and we practise that check as carefully as the prompt.
What does ChatGPT training cost?
Our prices are fixed per user and the same whether the team runs ChatGPT or Claude, with a minimum of eight participants and VAT excluded.
| Format | Length | Price per user | Eight people in total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Workshop | 2 hours at your office | €280 | €2,240 |
| Half day | 4 hours, exercises per role | €390 | €3,120 |
| Full day | 8 hours, tracks for marketing, finance, HR and leadership | €560 | €4,480 |
The licence comes on top, since a Standard seat on ChatGPT Business costs $20 per user per month on annual billing or $25 monthly, which is about €17 or €21.3 Eight Standard seats on annual billing come to about €1,630 a year, so the two-hour workshop costs a little more than the first year of licences for the same eight people. The full seat picture sits in our guide to ChatGPT Business pricing in Europe.
Which format fits your team?
Two hours is enough for everyone to solve a real task and know where the line for customer data runs, which suits teams where the admin panel shows half the seats never log in. The half day adds group exercises per role, while the full day splits the afternoon so marketing, finance, HR and leadership each work on their own tasks.
Your choice of format matters less than the week after, because teams that keep a fixed one-hour sharing slot every week keep using the tool and teams without one drift back. Put a one-hour team check-in in the calendar fourteen days after the training on the day you book it, since it otherwise never happens.
What can the team do after two hours?
Participants leave with three things, in this order. First the intern picture, meaning ChatGPT behaves like a capable intern on day one who follows instructions to the letter, guesses when something is unclear and needs to see a good result. Then the task brief with goal, input, format and an example, and last the line for what may be typed in on your plan.
Every participant has solved at least one task from their own week, for example turning forty minutes of meeting notes into three decisions and five actions with an owner and a date. We measure it in the room by counting how many runs needed correcting before the result could be sent on, and that count says more than how fast the first draft appeared.
Is ChatGPT training mandatory under the EU AI Act?
Article 4 of the EU AI Act asks providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures that support the AI literacy of their staff, and the obligation has applied since 2 February 2025.4 The European Commission states that no certificate is needed and that an internal record of trainings is enough.5 Its guidance names hallucination, meaning a confident but wrong answer, as a risk that staff using ChatGPT should know about. National market surveillance authorities supervise the rule from August 2026, so we hand over an attendance list and the content covered after every session.5
Data location belongs in the same session. OpenAI lets the owner of a ChatGPT Business workspace choose Europe for content at rest as the option rolls out, Enterprise and Edu add inference in the region, and every company should check its workspace settings before anyone types in customer data.6 We spend ten minutes of every workshop on which plan and region the company actually has and what that means for the line.
How to book the right training
Choose the format by the admin panel and not by the budget, since fewer than half the seats in weekly use means two hours is enough. A team that already uses ChatGPT daily but in scattered ways gets more from the half day, and every format with its content is on the page for ChatGPT training. Teams without shared seats can get licences through satori-chatgpt on one invoice in euros, at €32 per user per month for the licence plus €14 for support after a one-time €490 setup. Teams that also need the workspace, the policy and the GDPR position sorted before anyone trains can read what a ChatGPT consultant does first.
- Number of active users in the last thirty days, from the admin panel
- One recurring task per participant, written down before the session
- Which plan the company has, and where its data is stored
- A date for the team check-in fourteen days later
- The name of the person who owns the question of what may be typed in
Open the admin panel in ChatGPT Business and write down how many of the seats were used in the last thirty days. That single number takes five minutes to find, and it is the baseline you compare against thirty days after the training.
